If you are a regular on social media, it would be hard to miss the signature comedic touch Ms. Luvvie Ajaya puts on everything she touches – almost. Even with a loyal following of over 42,000 and counting on Twitter, she finds time to lend her voice and brand to a cause that raises awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls through The Red Pump Project.
Ajayi is a Chicago native and alum of the University of Illinois. Her blogging career now spans over twelve-years and has landed her in publications such as TheGrio, Vulture, EBONY, Essence, africa.com, The Root, and Black Enterprise.
This year, she was named a 2015 Black Innovator by XFINITY Comcast alongside the director of Selma Movie, Ava DuVernay, and Issa Rae, creator of the popular YouTube series, The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl.
We salute you Awesomely Luvvie! For your vision, creativity, staying true to yourself, and inspiring so many other aspiring writers, philanthropists, and entrepreneurs! (And we don’t mind the laughter every now and then either…)
